We have grown up eating sugar and sweets all our lives, and since eating them in abundance has lead to rise in many ailments of heart and blood .
Traditionally in India sugar was not used in households instead of that Jaggery or Gur was used as a common sweetener.
But since sugar came everything changed because sugar is replaced more slowly in the blood stream than refined sugars. So avoid use of white sugar, it acts like a poison for the body.
Use Jaggery (Gur) or Misri (crystallized sugar ) as much as you want but avoid white sugar in your diet. Not only the diabetic but white sugar must be replaced in every household by jaggery or misri .
The manufacturing of white sugar goes through many chemicals that go through many machines, while Jaggery is made by hand churned techniques and thus it is pure and safe. Our Ancestors had always used Jaggery (gur) in their times and since they had no diseases like today we have in their body, they were fit and healthy all through their lives.
